We offer a variety of classes such as cross stitch, applique, quilting, sewing & more. For the beginner

  • Learn the basics of garment sewing by making a skirt or pajama bottoms/shorts.

  • This is the best place to start, if you have never quilted or if you just need a refresher. Learn the basics of patchwork quilting.

  • This is a series of up to three classes to help new sewing machine owners learn how to use their sewing machines.

  • Learn the basics about needles, fabrics, and stitches by completing a simple star pattern square on 14 count Aida cloth.

  • This club will meet once a month for a year. It will be an opportunity for members to see what’s new and current in the store. We will demonstrate products and techniques to you, and the opportunity for members to
    share their projects as well.

    How do I join? 
  • Want to learn more about machine embroidery. You can drop in and work on whatever embroidery project you want, it does not matter if you are finishing a project or trying to start a new one.

A Modern Take

Want to learn traditional english paper piecing, with a fun modern twist?

In this class we will walk through step-by-step how to make hexies. Once you’ve successfully started your hexie stash, we will incorporate them into a pillow using the Modern Handcraft Pattern. Pattern purchase is required. Beginner friendly.

  • If you love quilting & wool applique, then this is the perfect class for you! In this class you will make a wall hanging & 12 heart shaped wool ornaments, one for each month of the year. Christine has modified her wall hanging for the letters to be horizontal, so the opportunity to be creative and make it your own is there. This class we will be taught using the Buttermilk Basin Home Sweet Home thru the year pattern. Monthly pattern purchase required.

  • Join Suzanne on her journey "On Wander Lane", a BOM series from "Art to Heart". Each month we will create a new block representing what is happening at the homes on Wander Lane. These blocks combine piecing and machine applique. Each month's pattern offers six additional projects for you to make for your home. This class will meet once per month until March 2024.

Description

Learn the technique of the One Block Wonder (OBW) kaleidoscope quilt. This will include; how to choose the right fabric, designing your OBW, choosing your strip size, cutting, sewing the blocks (into hexies), and assembling it all into a quilt top. If you have a fabric already in mind for your project, feel free to bring it in or show it to Reina for her recommendations.
